I knew "Uncle Bob" to be a kind and loving man who , in my opinion, shared certain noble traits learned from both his father, Ernest ("Ernie") and his uncle, Lloyd... two strikingly different peas in the Stouffer pod. He was jocular and often had a humorous quip or story to share which I always looked forward to hearing as a kid when we would gather at Ernie & Reba's lake cabin near Elkhorn, WI... the same place he spent part of his summers growing up. Alas, such visits were too few and, as cousin Darren laments in his post, plans to visit materialized only a few times in my adult years. Still, they were important, affirming times through which my love for him grew. His brother, Richard ("Dick") was my dad. Blessings, Tom, Karen & family.
