Obituary of Joseph P. Huth

Please share a memory of Joseph to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Joseph Patrick Huth, 65, of Willingboro, NJ, passed away on January 16, 2025 at home, surrounded by love, after a long illness.

Joe was born in Bristol, PA on May 8, 1959, to Edward A. and Alma (Rowlands) Huth. He graduated from Bishop Egan High School in 1977. After high school Joe worked in management for a number of fast food establishments, Channel Lumber, and eventually became the accountant for the family business, Huth Auto Body Supply. After the business closed Joe became the business manager of a construction company owned by his sister and brother-in-law. Then for many years Joe was a manager for Payless Shoes. His last position was as an Account Advocate for Chicago Title.

In 1986 Joe married Diane Hoffman of Willingboro. They became parents of twin girls and Joe was the best dad! He would take the girls to the local hospital to watch the babies in the Nursery, and took them on many trips to Staples to buy supplies for their imaginary school. Every Christmas he and the girls would search for the perfect Douglas Fir tree which always turned out to be bigger than Diane wanted! And of course there was the annual summer vacation to LBI. Then when Nicole and Stephanie were in high school their Dad became their chauffeur and took them and their friends wherever they needed to go.

Joe was good with numbers and never met a spreadsheet he didn't like! He also loved all sports and played football and ice hockey in high school. As one of five boys, growing up he always had someone to play sports with on the street he grew up on.

In 1995, Joe was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and unfortunately it progressed quickly, to the point that he was confined to a wheelchair. He had a great attitude and was an inspiration to all who knew him. For the last two months of his life he was under the care of Samaritan Hospice and we thank his nurse, Christy, for her kindness, care, and support during that time.

Joe was a devout Catholic. He strongly believed in miracles and would pray along with the Rosary on the Hallow App every night as he fell asleep. He received the Last Rites and Apostolic Blessing a few days before he died so he was spiritually ready to meet his Lord. We are grateful he is no longer suffering, but will miss him more than words can say.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his sister and brother-in-law, Diane and John Vosburgh, his brother, Russell Huth, and his sister-in-law Patricia (Peter) Huth. He leaves behind his wife, Diane, daughters Nicole (Marty) Lewis, and Stephanie (Ryan) Walz, and five grandchildren who he loved so much - Isla, Miles, Leo, and Ian Lewis, and Luke Walz. His brothers Edward (Diane), Thomas and Peter will greatly miss "Joey". He also is survived by Diane's family and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

We will always remember Joe with a cup of coffee in his hand and a smile on his face, which will help us smile as we face this profound loss.
