John made my time as an usher at the 4 o’clock mass to Corpus Christi eventful and very memorable. He was always gentleman and would look at the door going up to the choir loft when I would go up to give communion to the choir. He could hear me coming downstairs and would make sure the door was open for me as I came down and then he would receive communion. John and I would go back-and-forth and talk about the families and how the weather and the weather everything else but just knowing that John was there was the biggest thing in my life when I would go to the 4 o’clock mass cause I knew he was there to help me and to be a friend. I will miss John tremendously. May God keep them in his arms throughout his travel his journey up to our heavenly heaven, and let him watch down on us with honesty and what honesty and love. I will always look up upstairs when I go to mass John just to see if you’re there by the door when I go upstairs once I am once again able to do the stairs. Thank you for everything that you have shown me and you given me as a human And I wait for you in the next life. Godspeed.

To the Balestrieri Family -
Sending my deepest condolences for your loss. My memory of Mr. Balestrieri was that he was always busy and involved with his large family during my years growing up in Willingboro, yet he still had great capacity to be generous and gracious to include me in his family’s activities and celebrations. This made me feel special and relevant in my own time of need. Hoping your faith and wonderful memories guide you through the coming months and years.
Sincerely, Eleanor (Nora) Romanelli

I had the pleasure of ushering with John at Corpus Christi Church. We had some great conversations. He was very passionate about what he saw as ways to improve infrastructure. Despite some health issues over the years he continued to be in good spirits and concerned about others. He will be missed.

Rebecca and I offer our deepest condolences.
I feel very fortunate to have known Mr. Balestrieri. His kindness, generosity, and wise words will never be forgotten.
For nearly thirty years, Mr. B has always greeted me with a giant smile and a firm handshake, and I will miss our conversations about life and the world.
RIP, my dear friend.
