Obituary of Nicholas Moronese

On August 22, 2024, Nicholas Moronese peacefully passed away at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, New Jersey with loved ones by his side at the age of 77.

Nick is survived by his son Rob (Tracey), his beloved grandchildren Victoria and Tyler, his sister Marion, his nieces Denise (Sam) and Jennifer; nephews Glenn, George, Nik and Peter; and his closest friends Neil, Richy, Diane, and Steve; along with his former wife Diane, for whom his love never faded.

Nick joins his parents Nicola and Raffaela in heaven, along with his brothers Angelo and Augie, and sisters Rose and Vinny.

Whether you called him “Nick,” “Big Nick,” “Uncle Nick,” or “Grampa Nick,” you knew you could call him any time and for anything and he would be there for you without hesitation. He loved driving, dining with family and friends, watching his Mets play ball, and he loved giving. Generous even beyond his humble means, Nick always put the well being and happiness of everyone else first, and never asked for anything in return. That’s who he was, and his absence will be felt by everyone who knew him.

Now our guardian angel, he’ll never miss a holiday gathering or baseball game, and we know he will always be watching over us, ready to give directions to anyone who will listen!
