Obituary of Stephan C. Neuenfeldt, Jr.

Please share a memory of Stephan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Stephan “Steve” C. Neuenfeldt, Jr (a.k.a Joker), age 54, passed away in Spring Hill, FL on April 26th, 2024, after a lengthy battle with Cancer. Steve was born in New Castle, DE. and grew up in Willingboro, NJ., where he enjoyed the typical 70’s & 80’s childhood.  After school hours were spent outside exploring, riding bikes, swimming, and playing local sports.  Steve would stay outside most nights until the streetlights came on and wait enthusiastically for Saturday nights. On those evenings he could be found on the couch with a required bowl of Wheaties anticipating his favorite WWE Wrestling to commence. Summers were filled with family vacations to Wisconsin and Disney World and lots of camping.  After graduating from Burlington County Vocational H.S. in 1988, he soon followed his love of travel and set off for adventure.  He landed in Ohio running a Motorcycle repair shop and then South Carolina where he joined a traveling Carnival Show.  He developed a passion for playing competitive darts and pool, later traveling around the country for competitions, all while adding NM, TN, & FL to his ever-growing list of addresses. While in TN he honed his wrestling skills, following long time hero’s Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, the Undertaker, and King Kong Bundy (who he spent the day with as a teenager). Settling back in FL, Steve owned and operated a wrestling company called the "Bad Boys of Wrestling” filling local Venues with shows. The highlight of his BBOW days was being asked in 2009, by the promoters of Dixie Fest, to promote several Wresting Shows during the three-day event. Wrestling took him to many locations in FL all while winning and holding heavyweight titles for several seasons. During most of his off seasons he played on a local adult Football Team.   Rumors abounded he was being scouted for semi-pro ball but unfortunately a back injury ended his wrestling and football careers.

One of the constants in Steve’s life was his love of Motorcycles and the wind in his face.  He was respected and well known in the Cycling Community as someone who could always be counted on for help. He was a fierce friend and protector of all who needed aid and comfort. Steve could usually be found at the rear of the group keeping his friends and his pack safe. He participated in many runs for Children's Charities (riding most weekends for them) or sometimes just riding with 10 - 20 of his friends to a unique destination or event.

He will be missed by friends and family, and those whose lives he touched.

He was greeted in heaven by his sister, Pamela A. Neuenfeldt (1983) and loving Grandparents.

He is survived by his 11-year-old son, Stephan C. Neuenfeldt, III (Monticello, GA), Parents, Stephan & Eleanor Neuenfeldt (Willingboro, NJ) and sisters, Jennifer Seitz (Woodstock, GA) and Eleanor Iovannicci (Pitman, NJ), 3 nieces and 1 nephew and life-long companion and best friend, Barbara Bouchard (Spring Hill, FL).
