Bernarda Chavarría (Montañez) was Born November 5, 1943 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, to her parents Filomena Flores (deceased) and Felix Montañez (deceased).

Benny, as she liked to be called, is survived by her husband Ricaurte, and the families of her three children: Alex and Beatriz Rodriguez, and their children Cristian, Santiago and Veronika; Carmen and Richard Rodgers and their children Melissa and Lucas; Mario Rodriguez and his children Taylor, Jonathan, Laura and William. Christopher (deceased) will be waiting for her in heaven.

Benny is also survived by her brothers and sisters Jose, Felix, Carmen and Rosa. Awaiting her in heaven are her sister Paula, and brothers Julio, Frankie and Miguel.

Benny will also be remembered by her many nieces and nephews along with the multitude of friends who have grown to love her.

Benny has been married to her devoted husband Ricaurte Chavarria for over 22 years with whom she enjoyed attending Mass every Sunday, and tending to their garden, where many vegetables, and favorite fig tree thrived. 

She enjoyed sewing and crocheting, gardening and cooking- especially "Cremita" for her grandkids, and "Arroz con Pollo" a family favorite. Most of all, she enjoyed passing on her hobbies and traditions with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Friday, September 22, 2023, 10:30am at the Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 11 South Sunset Road, Willingboro, NJ.
