Obituary of Robert J. Bryant

Colossians 1:13-14

13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,

14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Obituary :

Robert J.M. Bryant ("Milt") eldest son of the late Joe Q. Bryant and Buelah Bryant, was born in Newark, NJ on October 14, 1951.

He enlisted in the Air Force on March 1, 1971 and was stationed in both Japan and Taiwan. During his time in Taiwan he married his first wife, who gave birth to Robert Bryant, Michelle L. Bryant and Leidia M. Bryant . After returning stateside to McGuire Air Force base in New Jersey he met and married Terry L. Brandes, who gave birth to Robert Dana E. Bryant on September 27, 1981.

He was a man who loved his family deeply and it was known by ALL - telling everyone he met how proud he was of his children and grandchildren. He never introduced one of his children to someone that didn't say "Your dad is always talking about you!"

The consistent theme of his life was helping people and giving them tools to be better, stronger versions of themselves. His guidance and mentorship was extended to so many including: family, friends, almost every kid in our neighborhood, co-workers and many more.

His legacy is being carried on by his two daughters, Michelle L. Bryant and Leidia M. Bryant; one son, Robert Dana E. Bryant; three grandchildren, Justin C. Ponquinette, Semi Ponquinette and Jordan Ali Bryant. He also leaves behind his only sister, D. Vanessa Bryant-Jackson; brother, Cedric X. Bryant and many other family & friends.

He dedicated his life to the Lord, carried a deep inner strength and his fighting spirit will live on forever!

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 11,2023, 10am at the Goes – Scolieri Funeral Home, 212 Veterans Parkway, Willingboro,NJ,08046. (609)871-1000. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday morning from 9am – 10am at the funeral home. Interment with USAF Honors : Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington,NJ.
