Hello Astley Family and Friends,
I was fortunate enough to meet and spend time with Dave during the past year at Delran Junior Marksman Club.
In fact, we were on the same Range Safety Officers' (RSO) detail.
Our team welcomed him and was looking forward to spending many days together every 30 days, well into the future.
May The Peace of The Lord be with you all.

My friend Dave.. As I sit here with tears in my eyes I am at a loss for words. You were such a caring person. I remember when you met Dana and I thought oh this is it..... A perfect match.. We had so much fun together and then the move to Jersey, Dana and I had the phone thing down to a science picking up right where we left off.... The wedding, the house the family settling down life happens...people drift away but we were brought back together by an angel.... I saw the love you had for your family and the girls oh the girls were your life!!!! You were so happy to be a family and so proud of your girls and you were so active in there lifes. Ya know it will be hard for them if you could drop a few signs that your o. K. That would be great oh and I'm sure you will hear you name being called for a while.... Don't worry she still loves you... You were the love of her life... She just misses you.... I'm sure they will get through this it will just take time.... I will always love you and miss you my friend and never say good by I will see you later..... Mary Ellen

Fishing will never be the same without you dad. Fishing on Woolman Lake and catching a bunch of fish was always a day well spent with you. You were the best fishing partner ever!

Oh my David! You were taken from us much too soon. I thought you were going to walk in the footsteps of the Astley's family health and go way beyond the Fortin legacies. You were the first one born in our immediate family. I remember a quiet and beautiful little boy. You always liked to play with your ball, so I would play "catch" with you when I visited.
When you met Dana, I was happy for you. I knew she would take care of you and I now see that you had a beautiful life... a fulfilling life.
Although we know this is the next chapter in life, the veil is so thin between living and dying, your absence will be felt by your loved ones, but they know too that you will be back in good hands with Mom & Dad. Blessings to you all. Love always, Auntie Honey
