Obituary of Michael J. McWilliams

Michael James McWilliams Jr, 90, died December 18th, 2022 at his home in Burlington, N.J.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was a graduate of West Chester State College with a BA in education. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served in Korea and Ethiopia. He is a retired school teacher working in the Willingboro School system for 35 years.

He was a caring and loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather who will be deeply missed by all. He was a kind, generous and wonderful person who always had a smile that would light up any room.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mary Agnes McWilliams (Newman). He was the Father of the late Marie McWilliams (Mackenzie), Timothy and Michael McWilliams.

He is survived by his wife of 4 years Joy L. Vanaman.; three sons, Patrick, Terence and Christopher; two daughters, Deirdre, and Megan; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two Sisters, Paula Corcoran and Deirdre Piazzola and many other relatives and friends.

Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 7th,2023 at the Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 11 South Sunset Rd., Willingboro, NJ. Visitation for Relatives and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Please gather directly at church. Interment will be private and at the convenience of his family.
