Oscar Lindsey Cox, age 86, of Willingboro New Jersey passed away on Monday November 14, 2022.

Oscar was born in Pearson Georgia on August 2, 1936 to the late Mattie Cox. In 1954 Oscar joined the United States Airforce where he served 21 years stationed in France, The Philippines, California, Arizona and finally New Jersey where retired as a Master Sergeant. Oscar spent the next 20 years with Corestate bank retiring as Vice President of Telecommunications. With his love of people and desire to socialize Oscar started up his next endeavor at Imani Real Estate until finally slowing down and enjoying the retired life.

Oscar married Claude Elaine Cox on January 19, 1960. He was a devoted husband and father of three that enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was working in the yard, on the pool, spending the day out fishing on the boat or entertaining friends and family.

Oscar was predeceased by his wife (Claude Cox), grandmother (Eva Cox), mother (Mattie Cox), brother (Eddie Cox) and sisters (Antonitta Cox and Lorene Gabriel). He is survived by his children David Prince, Angela Bowe and Laurent Cox (Maya), brothers Johnnie Edwards (Lena) and George Edwards (Ethel), sisters Rachel Edwards and Jean Townsend, grand children Curtis Bowe(Andrea), Maurice Bowe (Amber), Dominique Bowe (Shyleta), Emmanuelle Bowe (Eli Bobbitt), Nathaniel Bowe and Khami Tate, great grandchildren Bryana, Antonio(Nijah), Gavin, Khryee, Anissa, Andre and Phoenix, great great grandchildren Milena, Aiden and Apollo and a countless number of sorrowing friends and loved ones.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Visitation, Saturday, November 19, 2022, 10am – 11am at the Goes – Scolieri Funeral Home, 212 Veterans (Levitt) Parkway, Willingboro, NJ. (609)871-1000. Interment will be private and at the convenience of his family.
