Joseph F. Brennan Obituary

Joseph Francis Brennan, of Willingboro, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 18, 2022. He was 91. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; the son of the late Joseph and Alma Brennan. Joe attended St. Leo's Catholic School in the Tacony neighborhood of Philadelphia and graduated from Northeast Catholic High School. After high school, Joe joined the Navy Air Reserves stationed at Willow Grove, PA, where he served as an Aviation Machinist.

Joseph was a resident of Willingboro since 1959, and was retired from Brennan Auto Body, Philadelphia, Pa, a business that he started, owned and operated for nearly 50 years. Brennan Auto Body, famous for craftsmanship since 1954, remains a successful business in northeast Philadelphia. In Willingboro, he was a member of the Corpus Christi parish and a founding member of the Sacred Heart (Willingboro) chapter of the Knights of Columbus.

He loved boating and fishing with his family at the Jersey shore, and enjoyed flying model airplanes, flying kites and riding motorcycles. Joe became interested in airplanes and engines at a young age and this interest continued throughout his lifetime. He would spend many evenings around the kitchen table with his children building detailed model airplanes. Calm, early mornings were a favorite time to try out the latest model. Joe also truly enjoyed riding his motorcycle, especially when joined by other family members.

Joseph is survived by his wife Mary and children Ellen Egan, Michael Brennan, Mathew Brennan, Joseph E Brennan and Mary Jo Brennan. He had five grandchildren: Nikki Mcglynn, Michael Mcglynn, Kimberly Spade, Kristi Huber and Frances Fynan. He had three great grandchildren: Lily, Max and Zoey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing, Friday, September 23, 2022, 9AM – 10AM at the Goes–Scolieri Funeral Home, 212 Levitt Parkway, Willingboro, NJ. (609)871-1000.
