Please share a memory of Eda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Eda J. Foglia, 87, of Mt. Laurel NJ passed away on April 2, 2021 surrounded by family and loved ones.

Eda was predeceased by her late husband Anthony (Tony) Foglia Sr. She is survived by her 3 children and spouses: Son Tony & Ellen of Voorhees NJ; Daughter Rosemary & Frank Iula of Medford NJ; Son Tom and Tom’s former spouse, Loretta of Blackwood NJ. Eda is also survived by 7 adoring grandchildren: Brian, Matt, Fran, Phil, Brad, Alison & Alec; as well as a very loving Brother and Sister-in-Law, Angelo & Kathy Scolieri of Naples FL, together with a host of nieces, nephews, other close relatives & friends.

Eda was born in Philadelphia PA to parents, Frank & Rose Scolieri, who immigrated from Italy and instilled a strong work & faith-based ethic. After graduation from South Philadelphia High School for Girls, Eda worked several years at the Philadelphia Navy Yard for the US Veterans Administration accounting department. Then, while raising & holding her family together, Eda went on to work full-time for another 33 years in various administrative & office supervisory positions at Smith Kline & French in Philadelphia PA while it eventually changed its name to Glaxo Smithkline. Upon retirement, Eda performed volunteer work for Deborah Hospital while also enjoying time socializing with friends & family, going to church regularly, reading the newspaper, doing crossword puzzles & word searches, playing bingo and watching certain favorite TV game shows.

Eda’s crowning, most notable achievements were the exceptional leadership examples she established for those who had the privilege to know her. She was one of the most unselfish, thoughtful, giving, sweet, gentle and charitable individuals you could ever meet. She had the gift of making each individual feel uniquely special and loved without ever expecting anything in return. Eda was the personification of class, kindness and grace. She will be deeply missed but ingrained in our hearts forever.
