Kenneth R. Bender

Kenneth R. Bender, of Willingboro New jersey, departed from this life to join his mother Frances, brother Ronald and grandmother Frances Conticcio on January 12, 2021.

Ken was born June 4, 1952 in Danville, Pa to Robert Bender and Frances (nee Schascheck). He was diagnosed with diabetes at age 13 which led to a lifetime of medical issues but you would never know what he had been through by his upbeat personality and active lifestyle.

He married the love of his life, Rosemary (nee Duncan) in 1978, who in 2006 donated her kidney to him. Talk about a forever match!

Ken lost his leg due to diabetes in 2005, but he never skipped a beat when it came to his yard work, passion for the Philadelphia eagles, and his love for family and church.

Although medically retired, Ken was active in the Knights of Columbus #5337, John Tatum Assembly, Corpus Christi Church, Catholic Charities and the American Red Cross.

Ken leaves behind his loving wife of 42 years, Rosemary, daughters Kristin (Bruce) and Jessica (Chris), grandsons Gavin, Wyatt and Bruce, brother Steve (Kathy), sisters in law Joanne Halus and Sister Frances Marie Duncan OSF, brother in law John Bado as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.

Donations in his memory can be sent to Knights of Columbus Council #5337 or Corpus Christi Church.

Services will be held at Corpus Christi Church in the spring.
