George Charles Johannes, 89, of Willingboro, NJ passed away on October 2, 2020 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, NJ

George Johannes was born in Chicago, IL to the parents of George C Johannes and Ethel Braun. He went to Senn High School in Chicago, IL and graduated in 1950. He joined the U.S. Marine Corp in 1950. He worked as a Nuclear Tester for Philadelphia Electric for 37 years. He also was a Special Police Officer for Willingboro Township for 17 years.

He enjoyed watching the Phillies and the Eagles. He received Awards for Certificate of Merit for Seltiness and Human Action on February 11, 1981, as well as a Sharp Shooter for USMC. He was in the VFW and Roma Club of Burlington, NJ.

George is survived by his wife Jeanette Johannes of Willingboro, NJ children Michelle (Johannes) Senter, Toni Jean (Johannes) Malufau, Christopher John Johannes, Charles E Johannes and their spouses and 6 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. He was special to and will be missed by a multitude of sisters and brother in laws and cousins. He joins his parents George and Ethel Johannes with sister Joyce and Edward in Heaven.

Relatives and friends may attend his viewing Thursday, Oct 8, 2020 , 10am – 11am at the Goes – Scolieri Funeral Home, 212 Levitt Parkway, Willingboro, NJ. Interment : will be private and at the convenience of his family.
