Tony William Alston

Tony William Alston peacefully passed away following a long, courageous fight with his illness, on April 13, 2020. Tony entered this world on April 19, 1969, to the late Renee Alston and Anthony Lance. He was the first of their two children.

After graduating from Montclair High School in 1987, he went on to Ohio Technical College, where he earned his Diesel Technician Certification. Tony worked as a bus mechanic for many years at New Jersey Transit Bus and retired in 2011.

Tony was a giant of a man in stature, but a gentle soul at heart. He would accomplish anything he put his mind to. He was a great father and friend. Tony enjoyed being around his loved ones, watching movies, sports, and riding his motorcycle.

Tony is survived by his two children; Tony Jr. and Bakari, his fiancé Tawana Davis, grandchildren; Malachi, Messiah, Zion, and Zy'Aire, sister; Denise, niece Tonisha, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Due to the Corona Virus, Tony's Life Celebration will be held on a later date.
