Obituary of Eugene C. Edwards, Sr.

Eugene (Gene) Carl Edwards Sr., 73 of Willingboro, NJ passed away on January 21, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family.

 Gene was born in New Brunswick, NJ to Edna and Vincent Edwards (both predeceased) on December 24, 1945. He graduated from Kennedy High School in Willingboro, NJ. Gene was self employed as a general contractor before he retired. Prior to retirement he was employed at After Six Incorporated in Philadelphia as a sewing machine mechanic.

 Gene was a life member of Edgewater Park Elks Lodge #2550 in Edgewater Park NJ and was specifically involved in their Special Children's Committee during his 40-year tenure.

 Gene is survived by his wife, Janice (Kirkpatrick) of 37 years of Willingboro, NJ. daughter Jen (Edwards) McHose (husband Sean) of Merchantville NJ, and Gene Jr. (wife Katie) of Bel Air, MD. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Colin & Wyatt McHose and Alexandria & Abigail Edwards. Gene also leaves behind 3 siblings: Vincent Edwards Jr, (Joe) of Ft. Myers FL., Ronald Edwards (Geri predeceased) of Willingboro, NJ, and Karen (Dieter) Kalinowski (Stephen) of Naples, FL. Gene will also be deeply missed by sister-in-law Annette Parker (Spike), and brother-in-law Tom Kirkpatrick along with a host of nieces and nephews.

 Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, February 9, 2019 , 10am – 11am at the Goes-Scolieri Funeral Home, 212 Levitt Pkwy, Willingboro, NJ. The Elks Memorial service will be performed at 10:30 am. Interment will be private at the convenience of his family.
