Obituary of Eva LaMont

Eva LaMont of Edgewater Park, N.J. died Friday, January 4, 2019. She was 93.

Eva was born in Bremen, Germany to Leo Solomon and Anna Stander. She met her husband, Don in Germany while he was stationed there as a Merchant Marine during World War II. They settled in Levittown, Pa. to raise their family.

Mrs. LaMont was a faithful wife and mother and was mostly a stay-at-home mom, but also took on many part-time jobs to help out her family. She had a great love for animals and her yard was a regular stop for not only stray cats, but also all sorts of wildlife. Even in her nursing home she loved watching the birds and squirrels come to her feeder. She and her husband moved to Florida after retirement for a few years and she loved living where it was warm and sunny and she could grow flowers and plants all year long. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed cooking and feeding her family and especially loved when they would gather for the holidays.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Don LaMont. She is survived by their children, Norman LaMont (wife JoAnn) of Langhorne, Pa., Linda LaMont of Feasterville, Pa., Nannette Kerner (husband Terry) of Burlington, N.J., Donald LaMont of Langhorne, Pa., Eva Foy (husband Ken) of Acworth, Ga. and Stephanie Resh (husband Ron) of Ladson, S.C. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 9,2019,  10am at the Goes-Scolieri Funeral Home, 212 Levitt Parkway, Willingboro, NJ . Relatives and friends may call Wednesday morning 9 a.m. – 10 am at the funeral home.

Interment : Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.

A special thank you to Eva's lifelong friends Odette DeMoine of France and Lilly Domschein of Florida for all the love they have shown her over the years, and to Anne Pojat  her devoted neighbor who continued to visit her right up to the end.
