Obituary of Marcia A. Schwantes

 Marcia Angela Schwantes, of Willingboro, NJ, died on April 25, 2018 at Cinnaminson Center in Cinnaminson, NJ after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

 She was born on August 13, 1941 in Milwaukee, WI. She attended South Division High School, and graduated from Alverno College in 1963. In 1964 she married a young Marine Lieutenant, and together they had four sons. Marcia spent her career teaching in the Milwaukee Public Schools; Corpus Christi School in Willingboro, NJ; Willingboro Public Schools; and Bonsall Elementary in Camden, NJ. Marcia served as a Cantor during mass at Corpus Christi Church in Willingboro for several years, and also sang in the choir there. She enjoyed playing the French Horn, and was a member of the Golden Eagle Band for many years. Also an accomplished accordionist, no party was complete until Marcia broke out her famous accordion. She will be greatly missed.

 Marcia is survived by her husband, Maj. John W. Schwantes, her sons Jay (Ann), Joe (Diane), Jamie (Jill), and her six grandchildren, Abbey Dallas (Jeff), Ryan, Evan, Jeffrey, Aidan, and Jack, Brother : Jim Preiss. She joins her son Jeff, who passed away in 1990.

 Liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 3, 2018 10:30 am at Corpus Christi Church, 11 South Sunset Road, Willingboro, NJ. Relatives and friends may call Thursday morning, 8:00 am – 10:00 am at the Goes - Scolieri Funeral Home, 212 Levitt Pkwy, Willingboro, NJ. Interment will be at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. Due to Cemetery Floral Regulations : Memorial donations in Marcia's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , PO Box 96011, Washington, DC, 20090.
