I was a friend of Barbara's two sons, Phillip and Danny, when I lived in Willingboro, NJ. We all went to Pennypacker Park Elementary school, where Barbara worked, but I moved away after the 6th grade. My name is Gary Knowlton, and i would love to reconnect with Phillip and Danny after all these decades. I'm so sorry for the loss of Barbara. I had a lot of fun growing up with the Patterson family. I worked with Barbara in the Willingboro school transportation department the last few years. Her boundless enthusiasm and Boston accent were a joy to hear on the school bus radio, especially to me, also a Massachusetts native. My thoughts and prayers are with Barbara's family and friends at this difficult time. She will be missed.

Barbara would come into my office quite often after I started work in Willingboro. I loved our talks and her harassing me good-hardedly. She never left my office without putting a smile on my face.
