Obituary of Paula R. West

Paula Renee West went home to be with the Lord on July 18,2023. Paula affectionately known as (P) was born September 20^th, 1955, to Carey and Dorothy Brown at West Jersey Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. They resided in Camden, NJ where she attended Camden Public Schools. Paula graduated from            John F. Kennedy High School in Willingboro, New Jersey in 1973.

In 1974 Paula met the love of her life Willie West. Willie and Paula have been married 45 years. Through this union they have one child, Michael Carey West. Paula worked in healthcare for some years. She also worked with Quickie Manufacturing Company for several years. She obtained her CDL license and drove buses as well. Paula’s last place of employment was New Lisbon Developmental Center in Pemberton, NJ. She worked there as a Cottage Training Technician and Training Coordinator and retired after 17 years of service.

Mom loved her family very much and loved people. She always offered a listening ear for family and friends during difficult times or just needing advice. She was selfless and always a great gift giver. Mom was a dog lover, especially her Bruno who is in heaven now. She loved music and listening to oldies such as  Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross, Earth Wind and Fire and many more.

Paula leaves to mourn her loving husband Willie West, son Michael West, Mother Dorothy Brown, brother Carey Everett Brown, four grandchildren, Myciah West, Christion West, Jalen West and Mariah West, Sisters-in-law Bertha Daniels and Jonnie Mae Barnum, and Florence Brown, best friend, Carolyn Blake, stepchildren Katherine Allen, Michael Allen, Sabrina Allen, Willie McCargo and Cassandra Jones and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
