Jeremiah Anthony Mills, 39, was born on September 23, 1986, in New York, New York, and passed away on January 20, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Jeremiah was a deeply thoughtful and creative soul whose life was defined by service, compassion, and connection. He graduated from Columbia-Greene Community College with a degree in Liberal Arts and went on to serve his country in the United States Navy from 2008 to 2014 as a photojournalist. Through his lens, Jeremiah had a gift for capturing beauty, truth, and meaningful moments—an extension of the way he saw the world and the people in it.
After his military service, Jeremiah briefly studied Criminal Justice at John Jay University, continuing his lifelong interest in understanding people and standing in service to others. Photography remained one of his greatest passions, allowing him to document life with care, intention, and heart.
Jeremiah was known for his generosity, wisdom, and humor. He was always ready to offer support to his friends, share words of encouragement, or lift spirits with a joke and his warm, loving smile. Grace and love guided how he treated others, and he leaves behind countless memories of kindness, laughter, and quiet strength.
He is survived by his loving parents, Paulina Mills and Cam A. Mills Jr.; his twin brother, Robert Mills; and his older sister, Francis Mills. Jeremiah was deeply loved by his family and will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
