Jimmie Lee Fladger Obituary

Jimmie Lee Fladger was born on June 7, 1941, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Nathaniel and Anna Malone. She was the eldest of seven children, with five sisters and one brother, and proudly carried that role throughout her life.

Jimmie was educated in the Philadelphia School System and graduated from West Philadelphia High School. She built a life defined by dedication, resilience, and hard work.

Jimmie was the loving mother of two sons, Robert Adams and Michael Adams. Later in life, she married Hugh Fladger on February 20, 1982, and together they shared many years of love and companionship.

Throughout her life, Jimmie engaged in many professions in order to provide for her family. She worked as a waitress at Stouffer’s, held a part-time position at a bank, sold Avon, and catered—always willing to do whatever was necessary to support her sons. Her strong work ethic and commitment led her to serve as the Dietary Supervisor at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital before eventually becoming the Director of the Dietary Department at Masonic Home in Lafayette Hills, Pennsylvania, where she worked with pride until her retirement.

Jimmie Lee Fladger passed away on December 29, 2025, surrounded by family and love. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel and Anna Malone, and her brother, Nathaniel Malone Jr.

She leaves to mourn of her loving memory her two sons, Robert Adams and Michael Adams; her grandchildren, Michael Adams Jr. and Stephanie Adams; her great-granddaughter, Alessia Francois; her five sisters, Evelyn Newkirk, Carol Ennis, Millicent Hewlett, Michele Brooks, and Deborah Hunter; her aunt, Eura, and her son, Allen Brisbane; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
