Jeanne Platt Obituary

Jeanne (Sever) Platt, aged 74, passed away peacefully, as she wished, in her Willingboro home on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 with her daughters and her wonderful Hospice nurse Lisa by her side.

Born, and raised on the same family land in Willingboro, NJ to Earle and Elizabeth (Bette) Sever.  Predeceased by both her parents, and her husband Joseph Platt III, Jeanne is survived by her brother Butch (Earle) Sever, her daughter Erica Barney with husband Joseph Barney, and daughter Kerin Platt with partner Lee Quesnel.  Jeanne was also a proud grandmother/nana of six grandkids: June, Kirsi, Amelia, Aidan, Claire and Iris.

Jeanne graduated from Willingboro High School (Class of ‘69) and spent over 45 years of her life devoted to her husband and family while working finally to retire from Burlington County Special Services Schools District.  As a wife she enjoyed Long Beach Island weekends with family, friends and her husband; cheering on her husband when he played on the JC’s baseball team, and spending time building their forever house in Willingboro.  As a mother she loved anything her children were involved in including marching band, soccer and venturing to other states for college events.  Finally as a grandmother / nana she enjoyed watching them grow into their own places in this world, cheering them on through sporting events, musical talents, dance, art, marching band and so much more.  Jeanne was proud of each of her kids, and grandkids following their own passions and for as many moments she had she also wished she could have been there for even more.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Visitation  on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, 9:30am - 10:30am at the Goes - Scolieri Funeral Home, 212 Veterans Parkway, Willingboro NJ.  (609)871-1000. Interment will be private and at the convenience of her family.
