It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Michael Anthony Van Zyl on 9/13/25. Michael passed peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimers at the age of 62 (7/5/63 - 9/13/25). Unknown to most dementia is the 7' ieading cause of death in the entire world.
Michael started his career with the United States Navy serving (2) tours and continued his commitment with the Naval Reserves right up until his illness became too severe. In his civilian career Michael was a Business Owner and Teamster (OTR) Operator. He enjoyed traveling having been to many Overseas countries with the Navy, along with the many states visited as a Big Rigg Driver. Some of his favorite Hobbies included Cars, Planes and Trains as he was very close to getting his private pilots licence. Most of all he loved his family and children, spending much of his time taking them on adventurous trips.
Michael is survived by his children Skyler, Michael and Summer Van Zyl along with Sisters Carolyn Coyne and Kristine Rocanella. He is preceded by Brother Robert Van Zyl Jr. and Parents Robert & Joan Van Zyl.
He will be sadly missed along with his love for family and friends.
Funeral Services and Interment will be private and at the convenience of his family.
