Don C. Garrison Obituary

Don Charles Garrison of Willingboro, NJ passed away at home on August 20, 2025 at the age of 83.


Don was born on 4/15/1942 to Charles and Hilda Garrison in Berwyn, Illinois. 


Don served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War as a C-130 pilot from 1964-1968. After his service, he enjoyed a distinguished career as a commercial airline pilot. He traveled all around the world as a pilot and retired as a Captain from American Airlines in 2002. 


Don loved reading and studying history, especially the Civil War and the World War II eras. His favorite historical site to visit was Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, where he attended several re-enactments of the Gettysburg Address. He also enjoyed cooking, especially for his family, western movies, and telling stories. 


Don was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Hilda Garrison. He is survived by his wife, Monika, children Ashley Waldman (Stephen), and Charles (Kate) and his granddaughter Brooke. He is also survived by his sister, Ginny Siegel (Murray) and their children Josh, and Kira Gilbert (Ryan). 


Visitation hours will be held at the  Goes - Scolieri Funeral Home, 212 Veterans Parkway, Willingboro,NJ, (609)871-1000 on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 9am-10am. 


Burial will be private.
