Jacqueline Cora Sehested, known to most as Jackie, passed away peacefully on 8/14/2025.

Born in Manhattan, NY on 11/3/1939 to Albert Brown from the island of Jamaica and Harriet Wilson, roots from the island of Barbados.

After graduating high school, Jackie attended radiology school, working as an x-ray technician for over 40 years. She had a very strong work ethic, arriving to work 1 hour before start time, sitting in her car, often reading.

She was an avid reader and sewing was her passion. She was generous, loving, and a skeptic, often saying “time will tell”. 

She married Gerald (Jerry) 8/26/1961, later having 2 children, daughter Jill in 1966 and son Todd in 1971. 

She is survived by her husband Jerry of 64 years, daughter Jill Sehested Shafi, preceded by her son Todd Anthony Sehested who passed away 2023, grandchildren Amir Shafi, Sabrina Brisbane, Brazil Yates and Chloe Sehested, sisters Linda, Sandy and brother Marvin who passed away 2025 and a host of family members, loved ones and friends. 

Funeral Services and interment will be private and at the convenience of her family.
