David Jean Dominique Prince, aged 69, of Levittown, PA, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
Born in Evreux, France, on March 10, 1956, David was the son of the late Oscar & Claude Cox. He spent his childhood with his maternal grandparents in France before relocating to the United States with his parents and siblings. As a member of a military family, David experienced life in various places during his teenage years, including the Philippines, New Jersey, Arizona, and California.
David joined the United States Navy, where he was stationed in San Diego, California. He developed a deep affection for San Diego and remained there for more than forty years.
Following a major heart attack and the loss of his mother, David made the difficult decision to leave California and return to New Jersey to be closer to his family.
Music was a lifelong passion for David and a source of constant joy and inspiration. Whether attending concerts or enjoying his favorite bands—such as the Pet Shop Boys and the Beatles—at home, music was always at the center of his life. In addition to his love of music, David was known for his talent in art and landscaping.
David is predeceased by his long term partner, Herminio Ruiz; mother and father, Oscar & Claude Cox; maternal grandparents, Jean & Andree Resse; and paternal grandmother, Mattie Cox. He is survived by his maternal aunt Danielle Descamp (Michele); his sister, Angela Bowe; brother, Laurent Cox (Maya); partner, Myron Holowczak; and numerous grieving friends and loved ones.
