Nick was a kind and gentle soul. I first met him as a regular at my very first job, the Spaghetti House, when I was just 16 or 17. Every weekend for years, I’d spend hours talking with him and Neil. After the Spaghetti House closed, life carried me forward: I finished school, started my career, and sadly lost touch.
I often think of Nick. Whenever the Mets come up (I’m a Yankees fan), I remember our playful banter. No matter how much we teased each other, he always made sure to check in with me at the end of the night—asking about school and life, reminding me to stay out of trouble, and sending me off with the occasional hug.

Uncle Nick. You were a big part of my childhood and will always remember that. Almost every weekend for many years I remember you would pull up to my parents house with your big car, cigars and bags and bags of Augie's Bakery bread. They were good times. Sure you are in a better place now with your family. Rest in peace.

Uncle Nick,
The youngest and last one to leave this earth, leaving behind your oldest sibling Marion, my mom! So many memories come to mind. How my mom always took care of you after your mom passed. How she would cook whatever you wanted. How you both would love eating your desserts together with a double espresso.
You took me for driving lessons with your brand new Cadillac. You were always so generous to your nieces and nephews. You and Diane helping out when I needed it the most with my son. You always visiting my mom for days at a time, reminiscing , laughing, crying, reprimanding one another, etc. You will always be remembered in the Abu household. Forever in our hearts. Rest in the sweetest of peace with your parents, and your siblings and all loved ones Uncle Nick!
Until we meet again, Your niece, Denise

Big Nick the last of the 3 amazing Moronese brothers. Titians and visionaries, work horses who accomplished amazing things. From letting me drive his fancy cars, to suppling the fireworks, eating at Lenny’s Clam Bar and bailing me out uncle Nick you were the best!! Rest in peace Big Nick.
