James Arthur Kilmer June 5, 2017 James Arthur Kilmer , US Army Retired SFC, of Willingboro ,NJ, died Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Samaritan Hospice, Mt. Holly, NJ, after struggling with Alzheimer's disease. He was 86. A proud military veteran, James served 20 years in the Army before retiring to work in the trucking industry. Born in Wheelerville Pa., he traveled the world. He raced cars in Texas, was a boxer in Alaska and met his lifelong companion and wife of 60 years, Frieda, in Salzburg, Austria. He loved playing horseshoes, drinking a cold beer and enjoying everyday life. Most of all, he loved his family. He is survived by : his daughter, Vanessa and her husband, Vince, his son, Jim and his wife, Karen, his granddaughters, Christin, Erika and Danielle, his great-grand sons, Brandon and Nicholas and his great-granddaughters: Kasey and Emily,his sisters, Mercidia and Phyllis, other relatives and friends. He joins his wife, Frieda, and eleven brothers and sisters who have gone before him: John, Katherine, Charles, Neal, Jean, Emma, Joseph, Bradley, Marie, Ellen and Veronica. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 8,2017 at 9am at the Goes – Scolieri Funeral Home, 212 Levitt Pkwy,Willingboro,NJ. Relatives and friends may call Thursday Morning,8am – 9am at the funeral home. Interment: Brig .Gen. Wm. C .Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery , Wrightstown ,NJ. In lieu of flowers due to cemetery regulations: memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association Or the Wounded Warrior Project in his name.
